MIRPURKHAS, March 8: Habibullah Brohi, cousin of Zulfiqar Brohi who was shot dead here on January 13, has called upon the authorities to take action against the Satellite Town police for spoiling the murder case and patronising the accused.

Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said that Zulfiqar Brohi with his colleague Abdul Sattar Rind was going in his car when Manzoor Wassan, Farooque Wassan and driver Ali Mohammad intercepted them and opened indiscriminate fire as a result Zulfiqar Brohi and driver Ali Mohammad received bullet injuries. Later, Zulfiqar died in a hospital.

He said that a murder case was lodged with the accused. The police arrested Manzoor Wassan, Farooq Wassan and Ali Mohammad, recovered illegal arms and impounded their vehicle but released them after taking bribe. He added that to spoil the case, the police registered a fabricated counter FIR against Abdul Sattar Rind.
