Cellphone snatching on the rise

SWABI, March 7: Incidents of cellphone snatching are increasing in different areas of the district and people have complained that police have failed to check the crime.

A number of people said they were deprived of cellphones at gunpoint in Salim Khan, Maneri Bala, Gohati and Swabi Khas areas on Wednesday.

They said such incidents were increasing. They claimed that police knew about places where the stolen phone sets were sold.

The people of Chota Lahor tehsil, Topi tehsil and other areas of the district also complained about the rise in the crime.
