Five security cameras stolen

SAHIWAL, March 5: Five out of the 36 close-circuit security cameras installed at various points in the city have reportedly been stolen. The cameras were installed at a total cost of Rs1.2 million to help check criminal activity in the city. It is being suspected that the three city cable operators engaged in a tussle over area hegemony were responsible for the theft.

The city police, on the report of Rescue-15 in charge Inspector Nasrullah Niazi registered the case against 11 people, including Zafar, Taji, Raja Tanveer, Mirza Atif, Mirza Asif, etc, under sections 379 and 427 of the PPC with no arrest.
