MIANWALI March 5: An alleged kidnapper of a boy of Musakhel was arrested dramatically on Sunday night from a shrine near Chaboranwala, 15 kilometres from here. Police claimed on Monday that they got information about the presence of one of the kidnappers, Gul Riaz, in Chaboranwala village in the guise of a religious leader. A heavy contingent of police, assisted by Elite Force, raided the shrine near Chaboranwala and arrested him.

He is stated to be the mastermind of kidnap incident.

The remaining two kidnappers, Salim Akhtar and Pervaiz, are still at large.

The DPO told this correspondent that police were in their hunt and hoped that they would be arrested soon.

Bilal, the only son of Haji Yousaf, was kidnapped on Jan 19 when he was returning home after school. Police arrested one of Yousaf’s relatives Rafiqe Ahmad on suspicion.

He led police to the arrest of taxi driver Khalid Mahmood, whose car was used for kidnapping the boy. He named his accomplices as Gul Riaz, Salim Akhtar and Pervaiz. Bilal returned home a few days later after his father paid Rs500,000 ransom.
