KARACHI, March 4: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has expressed its dissatisfaction over the measures taken by authorities for the recovery of a minor Hindu girl who was kidnapped two weeks back from Kashmore, and demanded concrete steps to ensure protection to the life and property of minorities.

In a statement, MMA Sindh President Asadullah Bhutto said kidnapping of the girl had created widespread resentment among minority community. He said the sense of insecurity was heightening among minority communities as government had failed to recover the kidnapped girl even 15 days after she had gone missing.

The MMA leader claimed that due to wrong policies of the government, the entire nation was suffering, while unemployment, joblessness and growing lawlessness had made life of citizens miserable.

“The law and order from Karachi to Kashmore has become worst ever, but rulers continue to give the impression that all is well.”

He urged the government to ensure early recovery of the kidnapped girl to bring an end to the unrest prevailing in the Hindu community.—PPI
