LAHORE, March 1: Rejected politicians like Ghulam Mustafa Khar are raising uproar only to undermine democracy and to fulfill their desire for the solo flight.

This was stated by Punjab Communication and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin and Information Technology Minister Abdul Aleem Khan in a statement issued here on Thursday.

They said the completion of tenure by the present assemblies first time in the country’s history was a proof of the fact that democratic institutions were functioning satisfactorily.

They said the politicians sitting abroad could do nothing for the betterment of the country. They said the person making such ominous predictions about martial law or emergency was the same who had earlier expressed his desire to come to Pakistan on Indian tanks.

The people, they said, were fully aware of the track record of such politicians and knew that their recent activities were aimed at political survival.
