KARACHI: Narcotics destroyed

KARACHI, March 1: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) burnt a huge quantity of contraband liquor and narcotics at Paradise Point on Thursday.

A spokesman for the law enforcement agency said that 5,250 bottles of liquor, including 250 bottles of imported liquor, were destroyed. Besides, he said, a huge quantity of refining chemical, used in the manufacturing of heroin, was also destroyed.

He said the contraband liquor and narcotics were seized by the rangers during different operations and they were destroyed on courts’ orders.

He said Pakistan Rangers was determined to root out the menace of drugs from the society and to protect people from the deadly scourge.
