KARACHI, Feb 28: The staff of land department launched a big operation in an area around the City Courts and Campbell Street, impounding 18 junk vehicles on the directive of Saddar Town Nazim Mohammed Dilawar.

It may be mentioned here that the presence of these junk vehicles along different roads, people had been experiencing immense hardship in passing through the roads, besides traffic jams.

The land department staff also confiscated 13 motorcycles parked in Akbar Road area outside the specified parking zone. An illegal rickshaw stand at Lakhpati Chowk, Ranchore Line, was also removed.

Under the supervision of UC 5 Nazim Mohammed Hanif and Naib Nazim Mohammed Waseem Qadri, 25 vehicle engines dumped at the KMC Stadium footpath and five huge rolls of iron sheet placed outside their owners’ shops were confiscated.

The staff demolished concrete structures, including sheds, iron fences and platforms, raised illegally around Baloch Park.
