KARACHI, Feb 28: Six container vessels are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Cougar Ace to unload vehicles, Jin Ace to offload coal, Patriot, APL Jabel Ali and Jade Trader to unload and load containers were berthed.

Five ships, Patriot, Csav Ningbo, Khaleda, Magway and Cougar Ace departed on Wednesday, while Manchester, APL Jabel Ali, Jade Trader, Harmony, Corin Thaikos and Hyundai Highway are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the lower side of the daily average totalling 50,976 tons comprising 20,871 tons of export cargo and 30,105 tons of import tonnage respectively.

The following vessels are due on Thursday: Beaufort Wind, Tower Bridge, Iran Hesabi, Oel Aishwarya and APL Dalian with containers.
