LAHORE, Feb 26: Robbers took away gold ornaments worth Rs3 million from a jeweller’s shop in the Shalimar area on Monday.

Police said four gunmen came to Ali Jewellers in Baghbanpura Bazaar and held owner Ashfaq, his employees and a security guard at gunpoint. They collected 220-tola gold ornaments and escaped with the booty.

Two armed men stormed into a house at Noor Jahan Chowk in Mughalpura, held the family at gunpoint and took away Rs40,000 in cash and jewellery.

Two robbers came to the shop of Bashir in Begum Kot, Shahdara, and escaped with Rs16,000 and a cell phone.

Zulfiqar was deprived of his wallet and a cell phone near Abid Market, Mozang Chungi, while Ali was robbed of cash and a cell phone in Samanabad.
