KARACHI, Feb 26: Al-Jamia Al-Binoria Al-Alimia (Binoria University International) chief Mufti Mohammad Naeem has condemned suicide bombing and acts of terrorism and said that such activities were not allowed in Islam.

In a statement issued here on Monday Mufti Naeem said that vested interests and anti-social elements carried out acts of terrorism, target killings, suicide bombing etc to meet their nefarious designs and these acts had nothing to do with Islam. He said the western media was trying to make people believe that these acts of terrorism and Islam were related. He said that the government and the local media should expose these evil designs of the west. He said Islam is a religion of love and peace.

He said that his organisation had also been a victim of terrorist acts that had left more than 10 students dead and over 50 injured. Besides a senior scholar was a victim of target killing.

He regretted that the government had failed to catch the culprits who carried out these acts of terrorism. He demanded that the culprits be arrested, tried and punished immediately.

He said that if the government was unable to arrest the culprits then it should resign and let efficient and competent people establish the writ of law in the country.
