QUETTA, Feb 25: Scores of armed men blocked a road near Chaman on Sunday to free three suspects arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Force.

According to the district administration, ATF personnel raided a place in Taj Road area and arrested the three men wanted by police in various cases, including murder of a doctor. The force also seized two AK-47 rifles, a pistol and hundreds of rounds.

After the arrests were made, scores of men carrying rocket launchers and machine guns blocked the Boghra Road, fired in the air and tried to free the accused. The ATF personnel and police took position. The armed men dispersed after an hour-long siege of the ATF team.
