GUJRANWALA, Feb 25: The Punjab government has issued a code of conduct for monitoring of educational institutions and barred monitoring teams from getting explanation from teachers in case of irregularities, it is learnt here.
The government had launched a monitoring system in order to review implementation of education reforms programme.
The monitoring teams have been directed to abide by the new code of conduct and avoid entering classes and girls’ colleges without permission of the respective principals.
Similarly, heads of educational institutions have been directed to provide correct and factual information to the teams.
The monitoring teams cannot convene meeting of teachers in educational institutions in connection with any information. The teams have been asked to collect all data during school hours.
The teams have been barred from providing any information about school/college affairs to any government functionary except the district monitoring officer or the office of the chief minister’s monitoring force in Lahore.
