More arrests in kidney sale case

BAHAWALPUR, Feb 24: Nowshehra Jadid police claimed on Saturday to have arrested two more accused in the kidney sale case.

The arrested have been identified as Muhammad Ismail, father-in-law of complainant Samia Bibi, and Allah Baksh, the cousin of main accused Shakil.

Earlier, the police have arrested one of their accomplices, Abdul Hamid. However, the police could not arrest main accused Shakil. Meanwhile, police brought Samia Bibi to BVH for medical examination. Doctors confirmed that she did not have her right kidney.

FOUND MURDERED: A watchman of the PML-N Punjab joint secretary was found murdered in mysterious circumstances here on Saturday morning in Model Town.

Reports said Muhammad Shafiq of Chak no.35/DNB, Yazman, was deployed at a plot of the PML-N leader and was found murdered. Police have registered a case.

In other incidents, Aisha and Mithoo were killed in road accidents near Khairpur and Yazman on Saturday.
