Balochistan to set up new TV channel

QUETTA, Feb 24: The Balochistan government has decided to set up a new television channel called the Balochistan Television Network in partnership with the public sector.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the working committee under Chief Secretary K.B. Rind and comprising Secretary Finance Mahfooz Ali Khan, Secretary Information Israr Hussain, Secretary S&GAD Rana Naseer Ahmed and media consultant to the chief minister Raziq Bugti.

The meeting was informed that the new TV channel was being set up to promote and introduce Balochistan’s cultural, social and economic activities internationally.

The committee decided to obtain services of a consultant to finalise the proposal.
