MULTAN, Feb 23: Two members of a family who were killed in the Samjhota Express accident were buried in Mumtazabad graveyard on Friday.

A large number of people attended funeral prayers of Umer Din, 55, and his son Rana Younis, 21.

Umer Din went to Dhasa near New Delhi along his five family members, including son Younis, sister-in-law Khatoon Begum, brother-in-law Qamaruddin and brothers Abdul Razzaq and Hukam Din, to attend a marriage ceremony.

He was returning to Pakistan along with Qamaruddin and Younis in the ill-fated train. Qamaruddin sustained injuries and stayed in India for treatment. He reached home on Friday morning. The other three who stayed back in India, also returned on Friday along with the bodies of Umer Din and Younis.

Umer Din was an electrician.

Earlier, funeral prayers of Muhammad Rafique were offered on Thursday. He is survived by four sons and four daughters.
