KARACHI, Feb 23: Three more bodies of Samjhota Express victims arrived here from Lahore on Friday afternoon. The bodies were handed over to Pakistan Rangers by Indian authorities at Wahgah border.

The bodies of Habibullah, son of Ainullah, Saleem Khan and Abdul Waheed, were flown to Karachi by a PIA flight and were received here by Sindh Planning and Development Minister Shoaib Bukhari and Information Adviser Salahuddin Haider.

Habibullah’s body was taken to Latifabad, Hyderabad, by Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation volunteers and the coffins of other victims to Buffer Zone for completion of last rites.

Later, the two members of the Sindh cabinet visited the three injured persons at the Civil Hospital, Karachi. The doctors said at burns ward said 56-year-old Abdul Qayyum, son of Muhammad Idrees, resident of Orangi Town, had 19 per cent burns on hands and face but was recovering quickly. Two more victims, Shakeel and Nadeem, were real brothers and they belong to Mirpurkhas. Four of their family members — their parents and two sisters are still missing.
