KARACHI, Feb 21: Two Pakistan teams comprising youth and women table tennis players are set to travel abroad separately next month, Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) announced on Wednesday.

A 12-member team which includes 10 upcoming players and two officials will fly to Tehran from Lahore on March 5 to compete in second Fajr international juniors, cadets and mini-cadets table tennis tournament which takes place in Qazvin city from March 6 to 9.

According to composition of the team, two players will feature in U-12, three in U-15 and five in U-18 categories.

A four-member women’s team which is yet to be picked, will undertake a trip to Kuwait to compete in Islamic women’s invitational tournament which takes place from March 16 to 20.

Salman Ahmed Tahir Virk, Mohammad Rameez (U-12); Sheikh Waqas Ayub, Abdullah Mohammad, Shahzaib Maqbool (U-15); Abdul Rahim, Omer Zaka, Mohammad Usman, Faheem Raza and Syed Awais Hassan.

Officials: Mohammad Sajjad Asghar (manager), Sabah Waris (coach).
