ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: The third international coalition conference on aviation safety opens at the air headquarters here on Tuesday.

The three-day conference is being co-hosted by the Pakistan and US air forces. The first such conference was held in Qatar in 2004 and the second in Oman in 2005.

The conference will endeavours to investigate and highlight contemporary issues in aviation safety, while disseminating it to the specialised professionals around the world.

This would help foster already cordial ties between the countries apart from enhancement of new avenues for cooperation and development.

Delegates from 12 countries spanning four continents shall be participating in the conference.
