PFF honours U-21 team

LAHORE, Feb 17: The Pakistan under-21 soccer team was honoured by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Saturday for qualifying for second round of the 29th Olympics Games by defeating Singapore on home and away basis.

In a ceremony held at the PFF headquarters, federation’s president Faisal Saleh Hayat distributed cash prize worth Rs1.5 million equally among 20 players and four officials.

Those who received the prize are:

Mehmood Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi, Mohammad Shahid, Abbas Ali, Haji Mohammad, Samar Ishaq, Imran Niazi, Mohammad Imran, Yasir Afridi, Zahid Hameed (c), Mubashir Hussain, Abdul Aziz, Farooq Shah, Mohammad Wasim, Jaffar Ali, Nasarullah Khan, Mohammad Rasool, Abid Khan, Mubashir Shajrani, Faheem Riaz.

M. Irfan Niazi (manager), Mohammad Rasheed (coach), Mohammad Afzal (goal-keeping coach), Dr Kamran Mehdi (physiotherapist).
