The group is presently in Pakistan to perform in a cultural programme at

He said the BJS had played a pivotal role in the promotion of qawwali abroad and his was the only qawwali group, which had performed at the United Nations Assembly Hall in Geneva.

Salamat said that the BJS had been doing world touring since 1992 and had toured Japan, Norway, Spain, Holland, Dubai, France and Switzerland. He said that Manchester Afzal Khan Lord Mayor had declared the BJS peace ambassador to the UK.
