KARACHI, Feb 14: Residents of various localities in the city complained of disruption in power supply on Wednesday while the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation continued with its system improvement work.

Reports of frequent power cuts were received from different localities of North Nazimabad’s Block H, Defence Phase IV, Orangi, Faqir Colony and Gulshan-i-Maymar.

Meanwhile, the KESC has announced schedule for power shutdown for yet another day, Thursday, owing to the ongoing system improvement and network upgradation work.

It said interruption in power supply between 9am and 6pm could be experienced in the area of North Nazimabad’s Blocks A, C, G, H, I, J, N, P and R; Defence Phase VIII and Khayaban-i-Ittehad; Liaquatabad No.10 & 9; Sikandarabad, Azimpura, Mohammad Pura, Millat Town, Gulshan-i-Jami, Bilal Town, Surti Society; Nishtarabad, Azbabi Town, Gulshan-i-Rafi, Ali Town and adjoining areas, Cattle Colony, Majid Colony, Bilawal Town, Labour flats, Awami Colony, Gabol Town, Landhi Industrial Area, Korangi sectors 5L, 51N, M, 51D, D, E, H; Jacob Lines, Lines Area, PECHS Blocks 2 & 3, Mohammad Ali Society, Mehmoodabad, Agra Taj, Ghausia Colony, Lyari, North Karachi’s sheet 11D, 11E, 5A-1, 5A-3, 5B-1, 5E, 5G, 6A; sectors 9, 12A, 11F, 12C, 12D, 6B, I and G; Ahmadabad, Yesrab Goth, Super Highway; Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s blocks 6, 12, Orangi Town, Hussain Hazara Goth and Abu Hanifa Masjid.
