KARACHI, Feb 14: The Pakistan-India People's Forum for Peace and Democracy on Wednesday appreciated the decision about resuming Thar Express’s operation after a six-month break. In a statement issued here, it alleged that some elements were putting hurdles in smooth running of the train.

Thar Express was started on the demand of people of both countries, it said, adding that it was also announced that passengers would be assisted in the future but on the contrary, passengers were still facing difficulties in obtaining visa, immigration, custom, tickets etc.

It demanded immigration facility at the Khokhrapar station and relaxation in visa, opening of camp office by both governments in Mirpurkhas or Mithi. —PPI
