50 outlaws arrested

KOHAT, Feb 13: In a drive against proclaimed offenders police arrested 50 outlaws out of more than 1,000 wanted in different cases during the month of January.

According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, three different parties were tasked by the DIG, Kohat range, Salahuddin Mehsud, to launch a campaign against the proclaimed offenders. The parties led by ASP headquarters Vaqar Hassan, DSP city Nisar Marwat and DSP Saddar Hilal Haider conducted raids at different hideouts of the criminals and held 50 fugitives.

Police also seized from them five Kalashnikovs, two Kalakovs, 10 rifles, 20 shot guns, 60 pistols, 55 chargers, 30 kilograms of hashish, 20 gram of heroin and 20 bottles of liquor.

Similarly, police registered 283 different cases during the month of January including three of murder, 10 of attempted murder and three of theft.
