LAHORE, Feb 12: A bi-annual meeting of the Pakistan Rangers’ director-general and the Indian Border Security Force’s inspector general will be held in Jallundhar from Feb 14 to 17.
The meeting is part of the ongoing peace process between the two countries and is held after every six months. The agenda of the meeting includes effective border management, incidents of unprovoked firing by BSF troops, trans-border smuggling and illegal border crossing from India into Pakistan. Simultaneous coordinated patrolling, drug trafficking and repatriation of inadvertent crossers will also come under discussion. —Staff Reporter
