MIRPURKHAS, Feb 12: The Provincial Police Officer (PPO), Jehangir Mirza, has said that some progress has been made in Mannu Bheel family members’ kidnapping case and predicted better results soon.

Talking to newsmen at the police complex building here on Monday, after presiding over a meeting of the police officers, he said that purpose of his visit to Mirpurkhas was to keep himself abreast with the progress made in the Mannu Bheel case and police have taken a number of fruitful steps to recover the missing Bheels.

To a question about kidnapping of Ms Mattul Lashari, he said that police investigation and circumstances indicated that she had left her home as per her own will and does not want to return.

Replying a question about recruitment process in police, he said that the department had made an exercise in this regard in the past and prepared a list of candidates but no decision was taken on the recruitment list as yet.
