KARACHI: People trust govt: PML

Published February 13, 2007

KARACHI, Feb 12: A leader of ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) has said that the victory of PML and its allied candidates in by-election showed confidence of people on the present government and the policies of President Pervez Musharraf.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the provincial information secretary Haleem Adil Shaikh hoped that the party and its allies would also win the next general election.

He rejected the Pakistan Peoples Party’s allegations regarding rigging in the by-election and said that the result showed that the opposition had lost the confidence of people. He said PPP should accept the decision of people.
