LAHORE, Feb 11: The national domestic cricket tournament committee could not meet on Sunday to decide the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League champions after the five-day final between Islamabad and Multan was abandoned as a draw at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

"We could not arrange the meeting due to certain reasons and now all the members will be available on Monday to decide the winners," PCB manager cricket operations Saqib Irfan told Dawn.

"Both the teams have return to their respective cities and they will receive their prize money and trophy after the decision," he said.

The PCB rules only guides to declare a team as winners, which has taken the first innings lead and if the first innings are not completed then declare both the teams as joint winners. But as the winners have to qualify for the next year Gold League event, the PCB has to declare only one team as winner.

Multan, however, were unlucky as they had taken control by piling up 514-9 before declaring the first innings and then reduced Islamabad to 212-5 in reply.
