Cyclist killed

TAXILA, Feb 11: A man was run over and killed by a speeding car in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantonment police station on Sunday.

The victim identified as Hameed was travelling on his bicycle on the G.T. Road when the car (K-5296) hit him. The injured was taken to a hospital where he died.

Meanwhile, robbers deprived a resident of cash, gold ornaments and other valuables in Quaid-i-Azam street in the Wah Cantonment police limits.

Dr Ijaz Hussain told the police that he was out along with his family when the culprits broke into his house and made off with cash, gold jewellery and other valuables.

Similarly, auto-thieves lifted Mr Atif’s motorcycle (JP-83) from the jurisdiction of Taxila police station.—Correspondent
