NAWABSHAH, Feb 11: Mohammad Sharif Sarki and Mohammad Hashim Siddiqui, advocate, President and Gen Secretary respectively of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan Sindh, have said that elections would not be free and fair in the presence of president in uniform.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, they termed by-elections in Karachi and Kotri engineered where, they added, entire state machinery was utilised by the government.
They said that president and prime minister visited Karachi to monitor election and ensure victory to ‘their’ candidates.
