KARACHI, Feb 11: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the development work on bridges, underpasses and roads worth Rs30 billion is underway while the improvement of infrastructure and water and sewerage projects with the estimated cost of Rs15 billion is also in full swing in different parts of the city.

The nazim was talking to a delegation of the district management group officers who called on him at his secretariat on Saturday.

Mustafa Kamal said by the virtue of proper vision and short and long term policies, there was a stark difference between present and past Karachi in terms of development.

The nazim pointed out that the foreign investment worth US$1,100 million had been made during the last year in the city. He said the construction of elevated expressway would bring economic revolution in the country.

Other officials including EDO Master Plan Iftikhar Qaimkhani, Tameer-i-Karachi Programme Director Rauf Akhter Farooqi, Amanullah Chachar, Roshan Ali Sheikh and Saleh Ahmed Farooqi gave detail briefing to the delegation.
