KARACHI, Feb 10: Ayaz Gul and Mohsin Khan continued to share the lead in the penultimate round of the Sindh Amateur golf championship at the Arabian Sea Country Club on Saturday.

Both the golfers followed their identical overnight scores of 69 with less impressive rounds of 75 for a five-stroke lead at the end of the second round of the 54-hole championship. They both have an aggregate of 144.

With just one more round to go, there are chances that either Ayaz or Mohsin will go on to win the title.

Defending champion Waseem Rana was in the second place with an aggregate of five-over par 149 after following his first round score of 71 with a poor 78.

Meanwhile, Mrs Beverely Hills won the ladies title while Ghufran Ghani claimed the top honours in the juniors event which concluded on Saturday.

The final round of the main amateur event will be played on Sunday.
