ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: Protesting teachers of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Girls College, F-8/2, Wednesday remained on strike and threatened to take their protest to the Parliament House if their grievances were not addressed.

Talking to Dawn, they said “throughout the day no academic activity took place in both junior and senior sections of the college as we remained on strike and will continue it until the OPF listens to our concerns.”

More than 100 teachers working on contract basis are contesting the OPF decision to make them sit in a written test and interview for rehiring on the same position.

Teachers are of the view that since they are already working on contract basis, therefore, there is no need for such an exercise.
