KARACHI, FEB 7: The city government has asked tetra milk producers to furnish details in a week about the cost incurred by them for their milk packs. The directive was given so that the authorities can determine what the cost and prepare a price policy.

In this regard, a meeting was held between the representatives of leading tetra pack producers and Enterprise and Investment Promotion (E&IP) officials on Wednesday.

Sources privy to the meeting said that the producers assured the E&IP officials they will provide the information before February 14.

Another city government official said that the government would handle the price hike issue by tetra pack milk producers according to the same rules and regulations that have been applied in checking and monitoring the prices of fresh milk.
