GWADAR, Feb 6: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Tuesday said the government was considering inviting foreign investors for tapping the vast oil and gas resources of the country with a view to bringing about a revolutionary change in the profile of the country’s political economy.
He was inaugurating the induction of Motorway Police for regulating traffic on the Makran Coastal Highway and the RCD Highway.
He said traffic was becoming a major problem and, therefore, it was necessary to take appropriate measures to meet the challenge.
He directed police to provide jobs to local people and improve the performance of the force. He agreed in principle to give “hardship allowance” to Motorway Police personnel deployed in Balochistan. He said development of a road network would need a more alert and agile police force.
