SIALKOT, Feb 6: The computerised seat reservation system at the Sialkot railway station has been lying out of order for the last four days, causing inconvenience to the passengers wanting to book their seats.
Concerned citizens, including Citizens Rights Forum head Dr Muneer Butt, Muhammad Amjad Qureshi, Malik Muhammad Ilyas and members of business community said that the absence of computerised reservation facility was not only disturbing for passengers but it was also causing financial loss to the Pakistan Railways.
They said following breakdown of the computerised system the PR should have started manual seat reservation, but the officials concerned did not bother to take any measures to facilitate the passengers in planning their travel.
When contacted, the PR officials concerned said they had brought the situation into the notice of their high-ups, and waiting for their response.
