KARACHI, Feb 6: The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) on Tuesday charged the Sindh government of being partial and favouring the Muttahida Qaumi Movement candidate in the NA-250by-election. They demanded of the election commission to take notice of the situation.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, PPPP leader Nisar Khuhro and the of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) consensus candidate, Nafees Ahmed Siddiqui said the MQM wanted to win the by-election by force and for this purpose it was using the support of the city and provincial governments.

Mr Khuhro, who is also the in charge of by-election campaign, said that after all democratic forces announced to support the PPPP candidate for by-poll, the MQM, sensing defeat, had started harassing the ARD’s workers and supporters.

Mr Siddiqui that despite ban imposed by the CEC, the city government was carrying out developments projects in NA-250 and the MQM ministers and advisors were using government machinery to run the campaign of their candidate.
