GILGIT, Feb 4: Journalists on Saturday took out a procession here to demand quick recovery of Sohail Kalander, a journalist who has been missing for over a month.

The protesters marched up to the Gilgit Rest House where they handed over a memorandum to Northern Areas’ adviser for information Sikander Ali.

The adviser assured the journalists that efforts were being made to find the missing journalist and he would convey the protesters’ concern to the federal government.

He praised the local journalists for their commitment to press freedom.
