LAHORE, Feb 3: Four-times national champion Pakistan Army will play against Sri Lanka's Ratnam Sports Club in the opening match of the third AFC President's Cup football championship at the Punjab Stadium on May 17.
The fixture was the result of the draws of the championship taken out on Saturday.
Army and Ratnam have been included in Group A, along with 2005 Champion Regar-Tadaz (Tajikistan) and Transport United (Bhutan). Cambodia's Khemara and title-holder Dordoi-Dynamo of Kyrgyzstan are in Group B. The other teams in Group B are Tatung (Chinese Taipei) and Nepalese Champion to be announced later.
All group matches will be completed on May 22. The semi-finals will be played on May 24 and 25 an the final on May 27.
Punjab Stadium will host 13 matches while two matches have been allotted to Wapda Sports Complex, Kot Lakhpat, Lahore.
