SADIQABAD, Feb 2: Cotton worth thousands of rupees was reduced to ashes on the premises of Kibria Cotton Factory, Kot Sabzal, on Friday.

The fire brigade reached one and a half hour late as a result of which the entire stock of cotton, around 800 maunds, was completely burnt.

The fire broke out at about 9am.

WAGON STAND: Parents and students of the Government Girls High School Ahmadpur Lamma demanded immediate shifting of the wagon stands in front the school.

They said the wagon operators have illegally occupied the open space in front of the school and converted it into stand.

They said continuous blowing of horns caused disturbance as students could not concentrate on studies.

Moreover, the students and staff have to face difficulty while entering or leaving the school.
