MIRAMSHAH, Feb 1: Three government officials were killed and two others wounded when unidentified assailants attacked their car in the Naurak area of North Waziristan Agency on Thursday, witnesses said.
They said the officials of the works and services department were going to Mirali after withdrawing salaries for staff from a bank in Miramshah when their car was intercepted by the gunmen travelling in a car on which customs duty had not been paid.
The attackers fled in their car, leaving behind the salaries.
