Spring festival in March

MULTAN, Feb 1: The Horse and Cattle Show will be held at Qila Kohna, Qasim Bagh, and flower show on Abdali Road from March 15 to 18 as a part of Jashan-i-Baharan.

The cattle, including sheep, goats, cows and buffalos will be shown during the event. Besides that, exhibition of agricultural instruments, dances of horses and camels, folk music, Makrani and Khattak dance and display of army band will be the part of the show.

According to EDO (community development) Akhtar Zaidi, the organiser of Jashan-i-Baharan, a three-day music programme would also be part of the show - Qawali at the tomb of Bahauddin Zakariya, a pop music show at the auditorium of State Bank and folk music at Qasim Bagh Stadium.

He said sports events like kabaddi, wrestling, bodybuilding and tug-of-war, would also be organised.

A ‘Meena Bazaar’ for women would be held from 10am to 3pm.
