Sindh shooting this month

KARACHI, Jan 31: A Sindh Open shooting championship will be held in the third week of February at the Naval International Shooting Range, the Sindh Rifle Association (SRA) announced on Wednesday.

“Both men and women will take part in the competition,” senior vice president of the SRA Razi Ahmed Khan said.

“It will also serve as trials to select provincial squad for the National Games,” he said.

Rising skeet shooter Amin Karamat, who finished 7th in the Asian Games, will be seen in action along with double Olympian Khurram Inam and ace skeet shooter Ahmed Sultan.

Abdullah Iraqi is the best marksmen in pistol event.

Five pistol events in men, two in ladies, three each in men and ladies rifle and two shotgun events will be contested in the gala.

He said that shooters from Army, Navy and PAF will also be allowed to feature in the Sindh championship.—APP
