Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Jan 31: Nine ships carrying tallow, containers and to load naphtha and cement are due to arrive at the Karachi Port on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where 20 vessels were berthed during the holidays. They are: Pretty Lady to offload coal, Bunga Delima, Corin Thaikos, Cma Cgm Simba, Independent Spriti, Ever Govern, Wan Hai-303, APl Jeble Ali, Oriental Wisteria, Gulf Ahmadi and Rising OIm, to unload and load containers.

Others, which followed them are: D.D.Vigor, to unload fertiliser, Marina G.R.Xiabg Rui Men, Multan, Danica-four, and Xiang Cheng, to offload and load general cargo and Enrico Levoli, oil tankers.

Sailing was also brisk as 22 vessels departed during the last three days, which included among others, Soon Fu, Union Ramger, Al-Marwah, Marina G.R.Precious, Rahban-1, Oriental Wisteria, Wan Hai-303 and Danica four, while Johar, APL Jebel Ali, Xiang Cheng, Rising Om, Gulf Ahmadi, Harmony, Heng Tai and Pretty Lady are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 0.280m tons comprising 73,014 tons of export cargo and 0.207m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Arun, to load naphtha, Wappen Von Leipzig, with tallow, Red Sea Spirit, to load 16,500 tons of clinkers, Oel Aishwarya, Iran Shahryar, Iran Hesabi, Calving P. Titus, Oel Esteem, and Y.M. Sun.
