RAWALPINDI, Jan 29: A centre to provide shelter to the needy women will soon become operational in the city, official sources said on Monday. This would be the second facility in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and the tenth in the country being established by the Ministry of Women Development.

Services to be offered to the needy women include temporary shelter, medical and first aid, free legal aid, social counselling and liaison with agencies competent to redress grievances of women at individual and collective levels.
