KARACHI, Jan 26: The Chinese Ambassador Zhang Chunxiang has said that China would continue to support Pakistan and extend its financial and technical assistance in different fields.

The Chinese Ambassador stated this when he called on Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at the chief minister house. During his meeting they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

The chief minister recalled the close and friendly relations between the two countries and pointed out that a number of Chinese firms had made investments on a large scale in Pakistan, particularly in different fields in Sindh.

The Chinese envoy said this included heavy investment in Thar for developing coal reserves.

Dr Arbab Rahim said that with the passage of time the ties between Pakistan and China would strengthen.
