Charge-sheets submitted

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 25: Anti-corruption establishment (ACE) officials submitted charge-sheets against nine employees of different government departments in different courts here on Wednesday.

An ACE official told reporters on Thursday that six employees were challaned in the court of special judge, anti-corruption, Basheer Ahmed Memon.

They included Mukhtiarkar Ali Nawaz, Tapedar Abdul Majeed Goraho, field officer, Habib Bank, Mohammad Brohi, and a private person, Asif Ali Rajpar.

They were charged with preparing false pass book of the Zarai Taraqiyati Bank in the name of landless Asif Ali to get Rs1.1 million loan sanctioned.

Food inspector Illahi Bux Lakho of was challaned for corruption evident from shortage of wheat stock and gunny bags for at food procurement centres in Bhirya and Dali.

Abdul Sattar Umrani, accounts clerk, market committee, was challaned for drawing Rs10,000 from miscellaneous funds account through a false voucher.
