KARACHI: Lasbella road reopens today

KARACHI, Jan 25: The 917 metres long stretch of road from Grumandir to Lasbella Chowk known as Business Recorder Road will be reopened for normal traffic on 7th of Muharram.

In addition, laying of sewerage lines on Bahadur Yar Jang Road in New Town area will be resumed after Ashura to be completed in a month.

Officials of the water board and works department apprised acting Nazim Nasreen Jalil of pace of development during her visit to these areas on Thursday.

The acting nazim was informed that 580 metres of Business Recorder Road had been re-carpeted while the remaining portion of the road would be completed in a few days.

Ms Jalil directed the officers concerned to expedite the uplift work.
