KARACHI, Jan 25: A meeting of the Sindh Bar Council committee on Thursday condemned the deteriorating law and order situation in the country, particularly in Sindh. The SBC inter-provincial bar relations committee also expressed its concern over the ‘disappearance’ of law-abiding citizens and the statements made by officials of the law enforcement and intelligence agencies’ in courts expressing their ignorance about the ‘missing’ people’s whereabouts. The committee also decided to attend the lawyers’ convention proposed to be held in Lahore.

The meeting’s participants also condemned the police baton-charge on a women’s rally in Karachi and asked the chief minister to stop using derogatory language against PPP leader Benazir Bhutto.
