KARACHI: Award ceremony held at AMI

KARACHI, Jan 25: A graduation ceremony of a primary course on aerospace technology was held at the Aero Medical Institute (AMI), PAF Base Masroor here on Thursday. The deputy chief of air staff (support), Air-Vice Marshal Inamullah Khan, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Air-Vice Marshal Inamullah Khan highlighted the role of aviation medicine specialists also known as flight surgeons in flight safety, accident prevention and operational effectiveness of an aviation organisation.

He lauded the efforts of the Aero Medical Institute (AMI) in imparting quality education and blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

At the end, the air-vice marshal awarded certificates to the successful participants. Officers from PAF, sister services, Nigeria and Myanmar participated in the course.

The Moosa Khan Trophy for best graduate was awarded to Captain Mumtaz Amir.

Earlier in his opening address, Aero Medical Institute Officer Commanding Group Captain Mohammad Qasim Zaur said that the AMI was the only institution in Pakistan imparting postgraduate education in the field of aerospace medicine where classroom studies were augmented by lectures of distinguished guest speakers and visits of various organizations of allied interest.

The ceremony was attended by Base Commander, PAF Base Masroor and other senior officials.
